First released on March 20, 2013, Google Keep is a fantastic free note-taking service that is part of the G Suite.

  • Allows voice recordings with the ability to have those recordings transcribed.
  • Multiple views, colors, and formats to help organize and find notes.
  • OCR (optical character recognition) support.
  • Supports labeling notes for additional sorting.
  • Notes can be shared and collaborated between multiple people.
  • Supports all major platforms (computers, smartphones, and tablets).
  • Integrates with other G Suite programs, including the ability to easily copy notes to Google Docs.
