The difference is the cost. The annual subscription is actually cheaper.
Audible Premium Plus monthly subscription costs $14.95 per month.

Annual Premium Plus – 24 credits
There is an annual version of the Audible Premium Plus subscription mentioned above: 2 credits per month. Just like this subscription, you get 24 credits per month, but you pay the subscription every year.
It costs $229.50 per year. Dividing that amount by 12 gives a monthly cost of about $19.12. As said, if you pay the same subscription monthly with the above plan, it would cost $22.95 per month.
So, if your budget allows paying for the subscription annually, you should definitely consider the 24-credit annual option. That’s cheaper.

5. Return books (but not too often)
Audible Premium Plus members can return tracks without losing credit. That means if you want to return an audiobook that you bought with credit, you can do so and get the credit back.
The return policy is designed to help members who want to try a new speaker or story without losing credit or want to return tracks they accidentally bought.
Amazon will refund you using the payment method you used. So if you paid for the audiobook with a credit card, you’ll get the refund on your credit card, and if you used Audible Wallet to purchase the audiobook, you’ll get the refund as Audible Wallet.
Technically, this means you can return a book after you’ve listened to it and get the credit back and use that credit to buy another book for practically nothing. This is a bit morally questionable, and I wouldn’t recommend doing this too often.
Amazon states: Our ability to offer this policy is contingent on our members using it only for those purposes. We reserve the right to screen returns for abuse such as B. Excessive returns, frequent returns of tracks after prolonged listening, or returns of multiple tracks at once.

You cannot share Audible Premium Plus subscription credits or Plus Catalog titles with other members of your Amazon family.

If you’re running out of credit for your monthly or annual Audible Premium Plus subscription and it’s before the renewal date, you’ll sometimes see a special offer where you can buy additional credit.
This special offer also applies if you take out a gift subscription, suspend your subscription or switch to another Premium Plus subscription.
